Fire test batteries

The ECE R100 directive defines safety requirements for the electric drive of road vehicles, for example with regard to fire behavior. The GWP tests fire resistance classes at the location in Leipzig, e.g. batteries are subjected to a gasoline fire, overheated, intentionally mechanically damaged, etc. Such a test is complex due to the formation of explosive gas mixtures (CO, H2), acids (HF, H3PO4) and toxic dusts (NiOx, CoOx) and requires trained personnel. Our specialists and experts are happy to take the time for a non-binding discussion. Please also note our technical information on the subject.
